A pair of Chinese porcelain plates each with an inscription and 1 seal and dating from the Republic era. The first plate depicts a scholar on a path with birds by a bamboo forest, while the other depicts a scholar and attendant on the path to a remote house in a copse of trees. Dimensions are: 1 inch tall X 7 1/2 inches in diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The plate depicting a scholar and attendant has a large chip in the rim.
