老蜜蜡18籽念佛珠串，色呈棕红，皮壳温润，颗粒硕大，品相完美，18颗子珠。蜜蜡产地当为我国辽宁省抚顺煤田，此矿出产琥珀（蜜蜡）颜色深红，结构纯净，质地细腻，为琥珀中上品，但产量甚少。制作珠串需整块大料，尤其切割圆珠要求材料的长宽厚达到一致，较之椭圆珠，桶珠，扁珠费料得多，故老蜜蜡圆珠佛珠串、项串难得见有，多为椭圆珠，桶珠及扁珠。佛珠，念佛或持咒时用以计数的随身法器，它具有驱逐凶煞，消灾解难，战胜邪恶，慰籍情感的功能，被人们视为平安吉祥的护身符。此件老蜜蜡18籽念佛珠串，历经三百余年，风化片纹满布肌理，由于长年使用，持佛珠者每念诵一句佛号或咒语要拨动手中一颗珠子，周而复始，穿线打孔的洞口原本圆形，现已变为椭圆形。此件念佛珠串虽经岁月磨砺，沧桑变更，仍是宝光熠熠，气益雄浑，尽显法力无穷。18颗
