照片拍摄的画面为上海江边的渔船与渔民，画面动感十足，制作俱佳，是研究民国上海摄影史的珍贵实物。卡纸右下方有其签名。沈石蒂（Sam Sanzetti，1902-86年），以色列摄影师，原名希约马·里夫系兹。1920年从俄国来到上海。1927年在南京路73号开设Sanzetti Studio照相馆，以拍摄上海各阶层的生活及人像的手工上色作品而著名。近几年来，沈石蒂的照片渐渐得到了学者的关注，有关他的研究刚刚开始。
