Two cast iron Meiji 19th century Japanese archaic style iron teapots. Larger measures 9 inches high (handle up), and has gold decoration along handle (worn), cast bronze cover with signature on underside, raised elements of flowers on body, resting on footed base. Character mark on bottom. Smaller tea pot measures 5 inches (handle up), bronze cover with signature, leaf and vine design on body. Both teapots have oxidation of bronze and iron, and general wear to handles. Smaller teapot has pronounced spots of paint. Larger pot has speckled spots of paint.
