Description

1995 Rugby World Cup International Cup Finalists - Springboks (South Africa) vs All Blacks (New Zealand), signed by the players including the late Ruben Kruger, Joost van der Westhuizen, Chester Williams (first black South African), other players include Chris Rossouw Hannes Strydom, Ruben Kruger, Joel Stransky, James Small, Francois Pienaar Captain. The All Black team represented by such greats as Jonah Lomu, Frank Bunce, Graeme Bachop, Robin Brooke, Craig Dowd amongst others.  This was the first World Cup South Africa played after coming out of the Apartheid Years. The year that Nelson Mandela was president and wore the Nr 6 captain's jersey. A monumental year for South African rugby, a result recently repeated almost three decades later. This lot also comprises International Rugby World Cup contestants including players from Scottish Rugby Union (Scotland) , Maple Leaf Rugby (Canada), Manu Samoa (Western Samoa) and UAR (Argentina) and France signed by the noted players, the majority framed and glazed.  Note: These signatures were acquired by our vendor acting as South African Medical Executive for South African Rugby Union.
