圆形，三弦钮，圆钮座。座外为一周凹面环带。主题纹饰为勾连盘绕的蟠螭纹，螭龙张吻舞爪，角、吻、爪及尾部都扩展成为蔓枝，组成很多复杂的弧形枝条，螭体相互交连，构成连绵不断的画面，以细密的云雷纹为地纹。这种蔓枝状缠绕的蟠螭纹为战国时期楚地通常流行的纹饰，螭身圈带叠压较为少见。此镜黑漆古，保存完好，蟠螭纹线条粗细顿挫，疏密有致，蟠曲环绕，流畅舒展，富有韵律感，在节奏中显示韵律，在夸张中显示精神的勃发生机和充沛活力，展现了战国时期工匠们高超的构图能力和艺术水平。
