该器圆口，直颈，鼓腹，鼓腹下部渐收，底足微外撇。通体施微泛褐色的黑釉，此罐身布满剔刻的缠枝牡丹纹。器身釉质光润，构图清新饱满，花朵和叶片配置和谐，富有生气；剔花技法纯熟，乌亮的黑花与剔出的赤褐色胎体形成鲜明对比，呈浅浮雕的效果。此器于雍容大度中又呈现几许豪爽与粗犷。
