Description

挂屏以白色缎为地。其一刺绣牡丹与海棠，牡丹花满枝头，海棠吐芳竞艳；另一刺绣桂花、掌叶秋海棠与稚菊。取意均有“富贵满堂”的吉祥祝愿。画幅施以多种针法，如平绣的横平针、集套针、滚针、打籽针、平金绣的钉线针等行针顺线的处理手法。花的叶片均以三蓝绣成，其余花卉、枝干、草虫等均采用浅色，在底色的衬托下显得格外素净淡雅，构图追求疏朗，布局从单侧入景，寥寥几只昆虫飞舞于枝叶之间，将大自然的活泼意趣悄无声息的融入画面，赏味中颇有小写意文人画的特点，是清中期苏绣花卉挂屏的精品之作。
