冲天耳炉则为铜炉之首。此炉口径极小，为掌心文玩，扁耳微撇，口壁薄而敛，腹部圆肥，三足细收，六字“大明宣德年制”楷书款居于底部正中，笔意甚浓，六字不计工拙，看似随意，然仪轨森然，也可读出造款者匠心独具。其炉虽渺，观其铸造，铜质精细，叩之音清脆亮，颤越悠扬，不可多得。
