Description

犀牛呈卧姿，伏于地上。犀牛后足呈蹲坐姿态，前足卷曲于地，足蹄写实，四肢矫健有力，粗实壮硕。犀牛回首仰望，双耳翘立，独角犄起，双目圆睁，呈较高凸起，眉毛、眼线刻划较深。隆鼻高凸，颔口露齿。头后须发飘扬，刻划十分精细。背上祥云高起，托起一轮弯月以作承托毛笔之用，整体设计奇巧，造型生动，为明代笔架之精品，不为多见。犀牛望月，语出《关尹子 五鉴》：“譬如犀牛望月，月形入角，特因识生，始有月形，而彼真月，初不在角，胸中之天地万物亦然”。
