插屏以红木制座及框，中部镶嵌云石屏心，云石纹理交错变幻，山水图案自然天成，烟云缭绕，青山出岫，色彩素雅，意境幽远，造化钟神秀，亦莫过于此。此插屏造型规整典雅，制作工艺精良，陈于书斋案头，清雅不能方物。屏心刻有“碧谷清泉，花藏径畔春泉碧，云散林梢晚照明。金城。”金城（1878-1926）号北楼，浙江吴兴人。家学渊源，古器物书画收藏甚富。工诗、书画、篆刻，善山水、人物、花鸟。曾办“湖社”画会，影响全国。
