此尊水月观音面庞饱满，宽阔丰腴，双目垂视，神情肃穆。二缕发辫自双肩而下。其身披袈裟，胸部坦露，璎珞精美颀长，一手扶膝，双腿一上一下，怡然自得。此像造型端庄，比例匀称，鎏金保存较好，具有鲜明的时代特征，十分珍贵。水月观音，又称水吉祥观音或水吉祥菩萨，是观世音一心观水相的化身，其形像有多种。一种是站立在莲瓣上，莲瓣则漂浮在海面，观世音正在观看水中之月。
