姚钟葆，字叔平，室名性安庐。江苏吴县(今属上海市)人。能诗，善画，工山水，用笔苍劲，变化多方，其写山水私淑胡远，笔意新颖，布局精构，既而弃之，草草下笔，专主气韵。后转以甜熟病之，画不得见重，益酗酒成性，后咯血而亡。着有作品《性安庐画稿》图传世。 南京文物公司旧藏
