茄皮紫釉创烧于明代中期，流行于清代前期，因色如茄皮之紫，故得名。该釉系以锰为着色剂，在850度左右火候窑温中烧成。其色紫中泛蓝，釉质肥厚光润，釉色有深浅两种，深者呈紫黑，浅者呈淡紫，以无裂纹者为上乘。本品釉水深邃饱满，一如成熟的茄皮之色，应属前者。炉口平缘、颈部内收，上出双绳耳，鼓腹，三足见平。器表光滑润亮，釉色上佳，造型质朴流畅，触感柔腻温润。器形小巧别致，灿然可喜，赏玩皆宜。来源：法国Auction Art Remy Le Fur ＆ Associes 拍卖会，皮尔卡丹专场Lot 1563-1576为同一藏家珍藏
