历朝历代，皆重礼乐。祭天祭地祭祖宗，自然是少不了诸多礼器，用途不同，所用礼器之形制、纹饰又有各具特征。此器方正器形，造型端庄，依据上三代之礼器仪规造成。铜质精良，一模造就，器身多层纹饰汲取汉代以前诸多青铜器物之象，择其高贵寓意者铸刻，如夔凤、莲瓣等。静观之，则精妙融合，赏心悦目。仰望之，则礼乐恢弘，气质高贵。整器胎体坚实，端庄凝重。刻划线条流畅细腻，排密严谨，夔凤纹饰精美繁复，古韵十足，实为陈设高器也。配木座Lot 1782-1799为同一藏家旧藏
