此香炉造型繁复绚丽，炉盖高耸，一尊大象伏卧盖上，宝象满饰缨络，背负聚宝盆，奇珍漫溢，宝光四射。炉盖通体透雕缠枝莲花纹，辗转交叠，枝叶错纵盘绕，莲花盛开其间，主题纹饰剔地浮雕缠枝莲花纹，以应炉盖，下承象首三足，面容饱满憨厚，缨络垂挂，富贵高雅，巧以象鼻作支撑，力鼎千斤。整件香炉造型敦厚雄浑，气度非凡，炉身上大象缨络，回纹，莲花，本身黄铜色皮壳相映成趣。乾隆时期作为清代经济、文化发展的最高峰，国力强盛，四海咸服，八方进贡，海内外文化交流频繁，故这种宝象、蛮夷献宝也成为宫廷艺术的常见题材，此式香炉可为一例证。来源：英国藏家旧藏（与国家博物馆藏青铜虎鎣为同一藏家）Lot 1782-1799为同一藏家旧藏
