「大明宣德年制」三行六字楷书款 整器宝光内蕴，给人以细腻柔嫩之感，尺寸数宣炉中标准器者，手感厚重，款识清晰，实为难得一见的佳作。其风格设计有明代特征，而包浆和铜质特佳，应属清代早期之器，为清代仿明宣德炉之精品。宣德炉是指明代宣德皇帝在位时，从泰国进口一批风磨铜，责成宫廷御匠吕震和工部侍郎吴邦佐，参照皇府内五大名窑的款式，精心制造，并挑选了金银等几十种贵重金属与红铜一起经过十多次的精心铸炼，才使宣德炉成为我国古代铜香炉制作的巅峰之作，在中国的历史上享有特殊的地位。
