Lebanese-American artist and writer (1883-1931) best known for his writings on religion and for his best-selling 1923 spiritual-philosophical classic The Prophet. ALS signed ÂKahlil, one page, 8.5 x 11, postmarked December 28, 1915. Written from Boston, Mass., and addressed to Miss Juliet Thompson, in full: "I shall be more than glad to know Albert Vail. Your friends are my friendsÂeven those whome [sic] I have not yet known. I wonder how many friends you and I have of whome we know nothing? I know that the new year will bring you blessingsÂjust as well as I know that the heavens will fulfill all the great dreams of your great heart. And may the Salam of Allah be with you always." In very good to fine condition, with creasing to the corners, two diagonal creases across the body, and light show-through at the top corners from small pieces of tape on the back.
