Three items relating to Peter Wolf, former lead vocalist of the J. Geils Band, including: a black ink signature and inscription, ÂTo Mr. G., to you from me, Wolf, with added self-portrait sketch on an off-white 4 x 6 card, with reverse featuring pencil notations in WolfÂs hand.An unsigned six-page manuscript written in pencil by Wolf in his difficult-to-decipher hand, 8 x 12.5, with first sheet headed ÂWhose Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf. Each sheet contains a stream-of-conscious style of writing that could be interpreted as lyrics, poetry, or Wolf simply placing his thoughts on paper. Examples include: ÂDay starts at twilight. TV without sound. I lie back & create Then I call the telephone to make sure the exact time & then I call back, ÂThereÂs something there that you donÂt know what it isÂ& thatÂs what you want, ÂI donÂt believe in changing a word, I believe in a certain style, and ÂIn the final analysis life is a brutal thingÂwe keep rationalizing out of itÂthis brutality.ÂA stapled 12-page packet for Â16Âs All Star Fact Sheet, dated January 8, 1974, 8.5 x 11, filled out entirely in the hand of Wolf, who signs his name twice to an opening biography page, ÂPeter D. Wolf and ÂPeter Wolf, and then again at the top of the succeeding page, which begins a ÂMaster Questionnaire containing roughly 72 questions, of which Wolf answers a total of 40. The bio page, which Wolf begins to fill out in pencil before switching to black ink, asks a variety of questions, such as his nickname (ÂStuffÂbequeathed by attractive young ladyÂ), birthdate and place (ÂMarch 7, 1943, Bronx, N.Y.Â), hobbies (ÂPlaying with toysÂ), and favorite actors and actresses (ÂJames Dean, Lawrence Olivier, Marlene Dietrich, Too many to name!Â); Wolf notably writes and then strikes through ÂFaye Dunaway, who Wolf married that very year. Some of the highlights from the ÂMaster Questionnaire include: ÂWould you like to get married? ÂNo plans in futureÂnot thinking of marriage, ÂWhat was the biggest thrill of your life? ÂRecognized by maitre d at Stage Deli, and ÂWhat is the most serious problem youÂve had to solve? ÂMy face. In overall fine condition.Format: Group Lot
