Rare, produced c. 1855. Vase of Flowers, with geometric and scrolls.This is a rare Union case with an original ambrotype image within. The elaborate exterior has motifs of scrolls and stylized geometric designs with a central vase of flowers. The interior has a burgundy velvet interior panel facing the ambrotype, which is presented in a gilt metal frame with profuse floral decoration. Metal locking clasp. No hinge. Some wear to case.
