Very rare, c. 1855, scrolls and geometric exterior cover design.This is a rare and unusual double sided Union case with two original daguerreotype images within, produced c. 1855. The elaborate exterior has motifs of scrolls and geometric designs with stylized floral highlights. The interior has facing daguerreotypes presented in gilt metal frames with profuse floral decoration. Double metal locking clasps.
