Rare, produced c. 1855 by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. Young woman.This is a rare Union case with original ambrotype image within, produced c. 1855 by Littlefield, Parsons & Co. The elaborate exterior case design has motifs of scrolls and geometric patterns. The interior has a facing panel of purple velvet to the reverse of the ambrotype, which is presented in a gilt metal frame with profuse floral decoration.
