Ellis Rosenthal, father of Jay Rosenthal, studied under Charles Gordon Harris and was a close family friend of the artist. Rosenthal" lower left, one annotated "Vermont Scene" on verso. From the collection of Jay and Maxine Rosenthal, Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Rosenthal was an active member and advocate of the Delaware arts community having been a board member of the Delaware Art Museum and Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts.
