Millais, John Everett Sketch and a collection of 62 proofs of woodcuts from drawings by Millais produced during the period of of book illustration known as The 'Sixties', 1856-62, in red morocco portfolio, from Lord Carlingford's Library with his bookplate; tipped in is a note from Lady Millais presenting the collection to Frances, Countess of Waldegrave, 18 May, 1874; with superimposed the bookplate of A[rthur] K[ay] by Kate Cameron, with an original pen and ink sketch by Millais, initialled, for one of the woodcuts (of a lady by a window at night), 14 x 10cm., binding rebacked, corners rubbed Condition report: a few plates slightly spotted; the sketch mounted and glued at head of leaf only to lower board.
