Porcelain plaque by Wang Dafan (王大凡) (1888-1961). Date:葵酉(1933). 12 1/2 X 21 1/2 (31.75cm X 59cm). Wang’s works were sent to International Exposition twice. The first time was in 1916 in Panama, and ten years later in 1926, “The Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition of 1926” held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some works from Jing De Zhen were exhibited by China’s Bei Yang delegation.This one in lot 8 was Dated 葵酉(1933)when Wang was 45. It was his peak period in Porcelain art. Wang's achievement was based on his solid and wide knowledge of Chinese traditional art theories such as Lin Quan Gao Zhi (《林泉高致》) and Chinese culture.The painting was telling a story of a Northern Song Prime minister Cai Que: 鹦鵡言猶在，琵琶事已非。傷心瘴江水，同渡不同歸 (宋•蔡確 悼侍兒)
