Height: 16cm17th Century. Tsongkhapa, usually taken to mean "the Man from Onion Valley", born in Amdo,was a famous teacher of Tibetan Buddhism whose activities led to the formation of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. He is also known by his ordained name Losang Drakpa. Also, he is known by Chinese as Zongkapa Lobsang Zhaba, He was the son of a Tibetan Longben Tribal leader who also once served as an official of the Yuan Dynasty of China.宗喀巴 ,法名罗桑札巴,意为 “善慧名稱”,通稱宗喀巴 、宗大師,藏传佛教格鲁派(黄教)创始人,宗喀巴42歲時,得到佛護的《中論釋》,認識到月稱和清辯兩家見解的異同,了悟到「緣起性空」,提倡「中觀應成」,並依此批判當時西藏流行之各種中觀學說,主張「一切法唯名分別安立」,建立他在中觀思想方面的獨特主張。
