A small Chinese longquan celadon brush washer dating to the 18th century with a wooden stand. Dimensions are: 1 in. tall X 2 3/4 in. wide; 2.5 cm tall X 7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: 1 miniscule chip to the rim with a glaze skip. Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok’s daughter and grandson.
