A Chinese famille rose footed bowl dating to the mid 19th century with a wooden stand. The bowl features 2 inscriptions with 2 seals each, a male figure in a purple robe with a blue and yellow cape, and has a four character mark on the bottom. Dimensions are: 2 3/4 in. tall X 3 1/2 in. wide; 7 cm tall X 8.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Foot has been repaired, 2 hairline cracks to the rim. Provenance: From the estate of Frederick C. McMillen. Mr. McMillen was sent to China by the US government after WWII to oversee rebuilding projects funded by UN grants.
