A Chinese porcelain vase dating to the Republic period. The vase depicts a cricket with two flowers in a landscape with bamboo on the front, the back features an inscription and 1 seal. The bottom of the vase has a 4-character mark. Dimensions are: 8 1/2 in. tall X 4 in. wide; 21.6 cm tall X 10.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Wear to the glaze and chipping to the glaze surface. Provenance: From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California. Her late step father was a military doctor and was stationed in Tianjin in the 1920s, these items were acquired during the his stay in Tianjing.
