LxW: 2,6 x 2,5 cm. Weight: 9,1 grams. Felix Rasumny was a Russian artist/ engraver born in Sebastopol, Russia. Late 19th century he emigrated to Paris, famous for its many artists. Early 20th century it was in Paris that the Art Nouveaustyle peaked. He was tutored at the ‘Ecole des Arts Decoratifs’, by masters such as Millet, Gauthier and Tasset. His work was frequently exhibited, amongst others at the 'Salon' or 'Societe des Artistes Francais’ in 1891 and at the ‘Exposition Universelle’ in 1900. Rasumny was well known for his beautiful designs for jewelry, medaillons and the French 10 Francs coin from 1929. His designs still appeal to the imagination, in which the opulent Art Nouveau forms come to life. Art Nouveau reliëf medaillon broche geelgoud, diamant - 18 kt. Felix Rasumny was een Russische kunstenaar/graveur geboren in Sebastopol, Rusland. Eind 19e eeuw emigreerde hij naar de kunstenaarsstad bij uitstek Parijs, waar de Art Nouveau haar hoogtepunt bereikte in het begin van de 20e eeuw. Zijn opleiding genoot hij bij de ‘Ecole des Arts Decoratifs’, onder meesters als Millet, Gauthier en Tasset. Zijn werk werd onder andere tentoongesteld op de ‘Salon of the Societe des Artises Francais’ in 1891 en op de ‘Exposition Universelle’ in 1900. Rasumny werd onder meer bekend door zijn schitterende ontwerpen op het gebied van juwelen, medaillons en de 10 Francs munt uit 1929. Nog steeds spreken zijn ontwerpen tot de verbeelding, waarin de weelderige vormen van de Art Nouveau subtiel tot leven komen.
