Large Blue John (Castleton, Derbyshire) 'egg', probably Miller's Vein, 12cm wide x 18cm high, approximately 4.7kg Condition: Top of egg is missing a large section as per image, missing area is approximately 6cm diameter. A second shallow loss approximately 3cm x 2cm within broad white band of veining. Some evidence of old yellowish pine resin bonding (as is typical of older Blue John specimens) to allow for turning and polishing of this brittle mineral. Otherwise general superficial scratching and inclusions, could be improved with further polishing if desired. **General condition consistent with age
