Cased pair of officer's 16-bore flintlock pistols, signed I Lowther, London, early 19th Century, with octagonal sighted barrels 9.5", each engraved London on the top flat, tangs each with back sight, flat locks with safties to the French style cocks, full stocked with rounded butts, steel trigger guards with pineapple finials, brass tipped ram-rods with worms, in their green baize lined fitted case with two way powder flask signed Hawsley, two turn screws, ram-rod and spring-clamp Condition: Signs of light scratching as well as some heavier deeper ones to wooden case, wooden case also showing signs of small splits to the top cover, Baize lining appears to be worn in places (some heavier than others), both inner compartments retaining their wooden lift-off lids, wooden stock to both pistols also showing wear in places, having some deep indentations in places, as well as some light scratching.
