Circle of Mario Nuzzi called Mario de Fiori, Italian 1603-1693- Still life of flowers tied with a blue ribbon; oil on canvas, 47.2x35.2cm Canvas has been relined. The wooden stretcher looks to be 18th/19th century. There is old raised and now flattened craquelure through out the paint surface. Paint surface is subject to bar marks. Work has been re-varnished in recent years. Under UV light inspection there is evidence of retouching and heightening around the flowers and foliage and in the background, this has been done over one of the layers of varnish; there remains a fair amount of other layers of varnish. Overall in very good fully restored condition. In a reproduction parcel gilded and ebonized Salvator Rosa frame.
