A silver inlaid brass rectangular tray, Syria or Egypt, 19th century, the central well with an ovoid containing dense latticework and with outer band of interlacing arabesque with silver points and silver inlaid kufic inscriptions contained within an outer rectangle, the whole set within a further border of palettes and leaves containing silver inlaid naskh inscriptions, the flat everted rim with alternating silver inlaid cartouches, 31 x 37cm.
