A Hochst porcelain tea pot and cover, mid/late 18th century, of globular form with c scroll handle and curving spout, the lid with a floral finial, decorated with two vignettes of a lady seated with two musicians in a wooded landscape and bearded man with two itinerants at a serving table, underglaze blue wheel to base, inventory no. CLXXI, 12.5cm high the appears not to fit the pot, firing splits between body and spout, firing crack to handle along joint, areas of marking to porcelain , both general discolouration and potential inventory marking
