A pair of French porcelain and gilt metal mounted vases, late 19th century, the lids with acorn finials, the vases with pierced galleries and female mask mounts, on beaded shaped bases, the porcelain decorated with vignettes of a man and woman in 18th century dress to the front and buildings in gardens to the reverse, within gilt frames, on deep blue grounds, the lids bearing Sevres printed marks, 32.5cm high both lids are heavily restored and overpainted, the interior overpainting does not cover labels, there is wear and dirt to the gilding on all metal work
