Note: "Ordnances" were issued during the Long Parliament due to the refusal of King Charles I to sign legislation as an Act. Heveningham refused to sign the death warrant of King Charles I in 1649. Thomas Dacres, MP for Hertfordshire 1642-48. Sir William Leman, son of William Leman of Beccles and MP for Harford, Abraham Burrell, MP for Huntingdon and a member of the High Court, he refused to take part in the trial of Charles I.
