A window, patterned after a thatched cottage in the mountains, gives the viewer a glimpse of the interior revealing an adult character teaching a young child. Cursive inscription in the upper left part and two artist's stamps: WANG QI (1884-1937) reading: 'tao mi' and 'xi chang Wangqi'.
The classic and detailed style of the faces contrasts with the rapid sketching of the vegetation and rocks corresponding to the artist's style.
