An Indian gem and enamel pendant / stickpin, of Navaratna design, the central foiled pear shaped ruby and turquoise flowerhead with half-pearl centre, to a surround of nine foiled gems including half-pearl, turquoise, cushion shaped garnet and cabochon emerald, suspending seed pearl triple drops with either foiled emerald or opal top, with polychrome enamel detail and bird motif to the reverse, some loss to enamel, pendant loop with later pin fitting, length 4.6cm Pendant / stickpin has no assay marks however it is of traditional design being gold with wax filling. Mount has split in places at edges particularly near pendant loop. There is loss and chipping to enamel. Particular loss to sides. Gems with typical inclusions, some surface breaking. some rubbing to facet edges and tiny chips.
