An Edwardian demantoid garnet brooch, composed of a line of circular-cut demantoid garnets, mounted in gold with platinum front, length 5.6cm, in case Wear commensurate with age, surface and nicking to mount. 15ct & Pt to side of mount. Demantoid garnets are a little brighter than illustrated in the catalogue, some variation in colour, typical inclusions, facet edges abraded, one chipped across surface. Gross weight approx. 4.2g. Case is very worn with general scuffing, staining and lifting of cover material.
