Wodehouse, P.G. The Clicking of Cuthbert London: Herbert Jenkins Limited, 1922. First reissue, in variant binding. 8vo. 256 pp. Wodehouse's father's (Henry Ernest Wodehouse) copy, with his signature and date on title-page. Variant sage-green pictorial pebbled cloth-covered boards, lightly soiled and rubbed, stamped in dark green; all edges trimmed; scattered minor spotting, annotations on contents page; lacking dust-jacket. McIlvaine A27a2. Henry Ernest Wodehouse's copy of his son's first collection of golf stories. According to David A. Jasen in "P.G. Wodehouse: A Portrait of a Master", Henry was a "golf addict" (Jasen, p. 12) and likely contributed to P.G.'s lifelong fascination with the sport.
