Together with a pencil sketch of a similar subject by the same hand注脚Glasby joined the stained glass firm James Powell & Sons as an apprentice in 1876, eventually becoming chief painter. He also worked for Henry Holiday and Morris & Co. as well as making his own designs from the 1890s.
