A carved square Chinese wooden base dating from the 19th century. There is a 4-character mark below the pedestal, and each side features a pair of animals on the pierced skirt. Dimensions are: 7 1/2 inches tall X 4 inches wide, 19.1 cm tall X 10.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Multiple corner elements are missing, wear to the surface of the varnish.
