United States, Egypt,1906-1956 Impressionist painting with a touch of social surrealism of three figures laying on the ground with one sitting up and keeping watch shrouded in darkness. Guglielmi moved to the Italian slums of New York with his Italian parents and was an active participant during the protests surrounding the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti in 1927. Guglielmi also studied at the National Academy of Design in New York City and the Beaux Arts Institute, in which his style began to shift from social surrealism to precisionism then total abstraction.
