Large Japanese Meiji Satsuma Vase with Fine Decorations. Large Meiji period (1868-1912) Japanese satsuma vase decorated with three finely painted shields. There are many mon style slightly raised enamel small decorative circular shields over the red background. The upper part of the vase is decorated with vario symbolic slightly ornaments over the green enamel background. The top and bottom of the vase have wide stripe lines with symbolic decorations. Please see pictures. The vase is 14 ¼” tall x 7 ½’ diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips,cracks,losses,wear or restorations
