Early Japanese Sumida Gawa Glazed Pottery Bowl Circa 1900. Shipped with PS Priority Mail. This beautiful Japanese Sumida-gawa partially dripped glazed pottery bowl with four three-dimensional figures with finely detailed faces peering over the undulating rim, green glazed interior with a multi-colored dripped glazed, orange ribbed exterior and base with incised signature by Inoue Ryosai. It dates to the late Meiji period (1868-1912) Size: 8 ½" Diameter Condition: good antique condition with reasonable signs of old age. There’s a natural crazing/crack due to old age, it’s not a damage. See picture 8, right under the boy’s left arm. Similar pottery are being sold for 1,800 online. Don’t miss this deal.
