Pair of Meiji period (1868-1912) Japanese top quality hand-painted satsuma vases attributed to Meizan. Each vase has ten vario decorative shields. There are fine symbolic backgrounds and some letters on the shields located on the top of each vase. There are also fine symbolic decorations over the neck of the vases. The bottoms of the vases also have wide symbolic decoration lines. The vases have top quality painting, and slightly raised enamel and gilding. They are in excellent condition with no losses,damages, almost no wear, no cracks or restorations. Please see pictures.
