A Late Classic Maya Cylinder with Carved Palace Scenes Guatemala, c. 600 – 900 AD Tanware cylinder on short and broad T-shaped legs with remains of light blue stucco. Two carved panels with tribute scenes in a palace; one with a figure wearing a deer head helmet kneeling before a lord seated on throne with jaguar pelt supported by glyphs, holding a feather and rope object before him; the other panel with a figure wearing a deer head helmet this time standing before a lord also seated on a throne with a jaguar pelt raised on a crossed sky band pedestal also holding a feather and rope object before him.
