明末清初之际，戏曲、小说流行，以至成为瓷器装饰的常见题材，其中《西厢记》故事于康熙朝更是盛极一时。拍品器型隽秀，盘心以五彩绘西厢记中张生以琴声诉怀，红娘引莺莺院中聆听之景，二者感怀铭意，心灵相通。宽折沿上饰梅枝图样，开光内绘有鱼、虾、蟹游于水草间，活泼灵动。整器胎质坚实，五彩亮丽，神态生动，工艺精巧，隽品难得。
