A Japanese Satsuma earthenware koro by Kaizan, Meiji period, the body of fan form, finely painted and gilt, one side with an immortal and attendants, the other with samurai aboard a ship, the sides with upper and lower panels filled with precious objects, birds in branches and ducks in water, raised on four iron red and gilt decorated scroll feet, black and gilt signature to base, height 10.5cm, with a Chinese carved hardwood cover with hardstone finial.
